Samar Stands By Anupama Written Episode 2 Updated (July 13, 2020)

The Shah family is in confusion after Anupamaa leaves. Samar is furious with Vanraj for kicking his mother out, while Bapuji and Kinjal are both sad about her absence. Anupamaa, however, is focused on planning a surprise promotion party for Kavya. Even though she’s trying to stay busy, a comment from Vanraj gives her a glimmer of hope.

Scene 1: The Shah Household – Morning

At the Shah house, there’s a lot of tension. Samar stands up to Vanraj, clearly upset.

Samar: How could you do this, Dad? How could you throw Mom out like that?

Vanraj avoids looking at Samar and tries to give excuses.

Vanraj: She… she disrespected me. A wife shouldn’t…

Samar: (interrupting) Disrespected? You’ve been disrespecting her for years! Mom gave everything for this family, and this is how you repay her?

Bapuji walks in, looking worried.

Bapuji: What’s going on? Samar, what happened?

Samar explains what happened with Anupamaa, his voice cracking. Bapuji sighs, feeling powerless.

Vanraj: (to himself) Anupamaa still watches these old videos…

He puts the phone back on the counter, deep in thought.

Scene 7: Kavya’s Apartment – Phone Call

Anupamaa’s phone rings; it’s Vanraj. Her heart races.

Vanraj: (on the phone) Anupamaa, there’s a Garba competition coming up. Remember the ones we used to go to?

Anupamaa’s heart skips a beat, and a small hope flickers in her eyes. Could this be a sign?
