Mishri – September 15, 2024: Mishri New Source of Inspiration and a Critical Turning Point
Mishri felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as she took part in a scholarship contest. Before the competition started, she made a promise to God, vowing to offer butter if she succeeded. Keshav stood by her side, offering his support through prayer. Meanwhile, Ridhi watched with a smug expression, convinced that Mishri would falter early on. Ridhi had earlier swapped Mishri’s textbook, believing that this underhanded move would ruin her chances, thinking even her teacher wouldn’t be able to help.
As the host introduced the contestants, he explained that the questions would be displayed on a screen, and each contestant had to press a button to answer. Mishri tried to maintain her composure, but Raghav noticed her visible anxiety. He quietly confided in Vaani that although Mishri looked calm, she was clearly struggling. Both Raghav and Vaani wished luck to Mishri and Ridhi before the questions began. While Ridhi and the other contestants answered questions rapidly, Mishri remained silent, overwhelmed by the questions presented in English—a language she was not comfortable with.
When the first round concluded, the host announced that Mishri and Keshav had not answered any questions correctly and were therefore disqualified. Raghav, feeling let down, shared his disappointment with Vaani. Ridhi took this opportunity to mock Mishri, claiming she didn’t deserve the scholarship and wasn’t skilled enough to compete. She went further, belittling Mishri by highlighting her modest background and suggesting she was out of her league.
In response, Mishri asked the other contestants to step forward if they were not financially struggling, owned a car, or did not need the scholarship to continue their education. When the others stepped forward, only Mishri and Keshav remained. Mishri pointed out that the contest was biased, as the questions were in English, a language she found challenging. Ridhi dismissed Mishri’s concerns, telling her to accept her defeat. However, Mishri countered by asking Ridhi a question in English that Ridhi couldn’t answer. Mishri then explained the question and expressed her frustration with the contest’s language barrier.
Mishri argued that the competition was unfair to students from Hindi-medium backgrounds. Raghav agreed with her, and soon, the crowd began to support Mishri’s stance. Despite the growing support, the final decision rested with the University head. Meanwhile, Ranjith, concerned about potential trouble if his family found out the truth, decided to remove both Mishri and his child from the competition.
Later, Mishri attempted to discuss the issue with Samarth, but he insulted her by emphasizing her humble background. Nevertheless, Mishri’s strong and articulate response made an impression on him, leading him to grant her five minutes to present her case. Despite Mishri’s compelling arguments, Samarth remained focused on business interests and refused to alter the contest rules. Mishri left feeling disheartened by his decision. Raghav comforted her, assuring her that she was still his top choice and encouraging her to keep her faith. Vaani, observing the interaction, felt uneasy about the emotional exchange between them.
