Kumkum Bhagya 31st October 2024 Written Episode Update: Poorvi secretly keeps fast for RV

Late one night, Diya steps out of her room and spots Poorvi heading to her own. Diya finds this odd and wonders if something’s wrong. Meanwhile, Poorvi remembers sneaking a sweet from Monisha’s “sargi” plate, which is prepared as part of the fasting ritual. Diya gently asks her why she’s up so early and whether she’s feeling alright. Poorvi, caught off guard, just nods and says she’s fine. Noticing a piece of sweet in Poorvi’s hand, Diya teases that if Poorvi craved something sweet, she could have just asked, as there are always sweets in the house.

Poorvi’s expression turns somber, her eyes filling with tears. When Diya asks why she’s so emotional, Poorvi blames it on medication and fatigue, trying to hide her real feelings. Diya senses something is off but lets it go. Poorvi quickly eats the sweet and drinks some water, brushing off Diya’s questions and pretending she just wanted a snack because she couldn’t sleep. Diya, still unsure, asks Poorvi again if she’s okay, but Poorvi assures her with a smile that she’s fine.

In another part of the house, Deepika mentions she’ll rest for a while, and Vikrant suggests she do so in their room. He then asks RV what time he’s heading to work, and RV replies he’ll go around 10 a.m. Jaswant, noticing his wife Vaishali up and active, gently urges her to get some rest, as she often feels unwell when fasting. Though hesitant, Vaishali finally agrees to let Jaswant handle things in the kitchen.

Observing all this, Monisha remarks that not everyone is capable of fasting and notes that Poorvi is lucky she doesn’t have to do it. Deepika chimes in, explaining how the fast is a meaningful ritual for married women, representing blessings and a deeper connection with their husbands. Vaishali adds that it’s like a blessing for married women who get to do this. Harleen encourages them to relax instead of exhausting themselves, to which Monisha jokingly responds, saying Harleen’s words alone have given them a boost of energy.

Harleen advises Monisha to be committed if she plans to fast, as breaking it midway is considered bad luck. Hearing this, RV feels glad he discouraged Poorvi from keeping the fast, sparing her the struggle. However, Monisha remains determined to fast for RV, declaring that it’s a privilege she won’t take lightly. RV silently acknowledges Poorvi’s right to keep the fast and is conflicted about his decision.

Elsewhere, Yug, in a playful mood, asks Diya about the “sargi” ceremony, which involves a pre-dawn meal before fasting begins. He jokes about enjoying the food and compliments whoever prepared it. Diya teases him, wondering why he’s so interested, and they laugh about their love for food and rest. Just then, Vaishali appears and hands Yug the sargi plate. Diya leaves, and Vaishali subtly asks if Diya might ever keep a fast for him. Yug lightheartedly replies that Diya, with her traditional values, would only do so after marriage. Vaishali seizes the moment, hinting that it might be time to find him a suitable match.

In RV and Poorvi’s room, RV checks in on her, asking if she slept well and how she’s feeling. Poorvi, grateful for his concern, assures him she’ll feel better soon. When he offers her medicine, she hesitates, preferring to take it after eating. Concerned, RV offers to get food for her, showing how deeply he cares.

In another room, Harleen notices Monisha’s discomfort from fasting for the first time. Despite feeling weak, Monisha is determined to finish her fast. Later, RV returns to Poorvi with food, encouraging her to eat. Poorvi tries to downplay her discomfort and insists he should attend to his work, assuring him she’ll be fine. RV, reluctant to leave, admits he’d just worry about her all day if he went to the office. He decides to stay and take care of her, showing how much he values her well-being.

Poorvi thanks him, but she gently insists he should focus on his work. Inside, she struggles with her feelings, realizing how much he cares yet knowing she must manage on her own to support him as well. The two find comfort in each other, balancing their responsibilities and affection.
